Spread the Bread

What if toast replaces our digital communication?

Interactive Exhibition

Spread the Bread can be presented as an interactive exhibition in which visitors can leave their messages on a paper Toast-It (Post-it), which will then be engraved using the Toaster Printer (right).

Background

The project responds to the far-reaching impact and growing power of social media platforms and messaging services, and the Big Tech companies that own them. Society is responding to concerns about privacy, control and quality of communication in various ways. However, alternatives often stay in the same realm or remain niche.

Workshops

Spread the Bread is also applied as an interactive workshop, tailored specifically to the applicable time, space, theme and audience. Ranging from a fun experience at an encampment or congress to a deepening workshop session at an academic gathering.

Spread the Bread to you

I designed a cart to roll the Toaster Printer and workshop materials anywhere. So if you are interested in Spread the Bread for your exhibition, opening, workshop session, or other event, don’t hesitate to reach out!

I am always open to having a chat, discussing possibilities, or drinking a cup of coffee together.
